Bring your own AI
Capture with our built-in model, your own API key, your existing AI subscription, or a model running on your machine. Recaps are written by the AI you connect.
Yesterly quietly keeps a private memory of what you work on, so standups, weekly updates and reviews almost write themselves.
Your timeline stays on your computer, and your work goes only to the AI you choose.
Shipped the signup fix and closed the related issues.
Reviewed the billing refactor and two smaller PRs.
Agreed on the new settings layout. Handoff is Monday.
There's nothing new to learn. As you work, Yesterly takes periodic captures and keeps a short note of what you're doing.
Notes add up to a timeline of your week, ready whenever you need it.
Capture on a schedule, when you press Enter, or with your own shortcut. Yesterly turns what's on screen into a short note about what you're working on.
It skips repeated screens and idle time. Pause anytime, and choose which displays to include.
Everything you worked on, in order.

Walked through the new layout and noted open questions.
Your day is already written down.
Browse your timeline by day or date range. When a note is off or missing something, edit it. The original is always kept.
Your timeline lives on your device, and the heatmap shows when and how you work.
Read through the diff, left comments on error handling, and re-ran the tests.
Create a recap for standup, a weekly update, or a monthly or yearly review. Pick the period, preview your sources, then let your AI write it, with extra instructions and a template you control.
Edit the result, copy it, or export it as Markdown or plain text.

Yesterly sends requests from your computer straight to the AI you chose. We don't proxy or store your screenshots, entries or recaps.
With a cloud model, the content you send goes to that provider and follows its data rules.
When both capture and recaps use a compatible local model, reading your screen and writing recaps can happen on your machine. None of your work content has to go to an outside AI service.
You run the local model yourself, and capture needs one that supports vision. Login and plan checks still connect to Yesterly's servers.
Only you can see your timeline. Yesterly has no team dashboard or manager view.
Screenshots, your timeline, recaps and revisions are saved on your computer.
Review, edit and export anytime, so your work stays in your hands.
The more AI can do, the more your own work history is worth.
It should stay with you, and you decide who sees it.
Work the way you always do. Yesterly remembers the rest.
